We’ve had our 2nd drop of vintage snapbacks. The first load sold so quick I didn’t even have time to blog them so for those who missed out we’ve got a 2nd batch. All brand new, unworn and around 15 years old, we’ve got caps from some of the greatest NBA & NFL teams of all time but just one of each so pleeeeaase don’t sleep.
So it is time for the 2nd BTG event…
FIXED GEAR ONLY
This time we have gone for more of a straight race rather than alleycat. The start will be in Bristol, Water Front, Canons Road. The Check point will be in Bath, Queens Square and the finish line will be back in bristol where you started.
You can choose which route you take as long as you are riding your bike.
The Race will be starting at 4 but make sure you are at the start for around 3 so i can get you all numbered up.
Fancy dress is optional, but i think it would be pretty funny if everyone dressed up.

Look up ROADBLOCK in the dictionary, this is what you should see:
“Graffiti is perpetually and increasingly a controversial subject dividing opinion and rousing powerful debate, yet almost nothing is known about the true motivations and inspirations of the artists themselves. Crack & Shine offers exclusive insight into this thriving contemporary sub-culture, gaining access to the personal stories of some of the most secretive, enigmatic and creative individuals to lurk in London’s shadows.
Featuring forty of the most exciting and prolific graffiti artists to have lived and painted in London, Crack & Shine is the only London graffiti book ever to be published. Also presenting the work of London-based photographer Will Robson-Scott, Crack & Shine includes a series of over 50 beautifully-composed photographs, created exclusively for the book; giving articulate and vivid insight into the awkward moments of waiting, the apprehension of hiding and the calm and stillness that comes with seeing the world from an altered perspective.”
We’re proud to say we now have a few copies of Crack & Shine available at Donuts. Click here for more.
Big up Nash, his first collaborative effort with DC is looking sick. Out now stateside and here in Europe in November.

Donuts The Store, Buffalo Trace and Allthatgoodstuff presents..
An exhibition of recent work and stuff by Daddison.
The term ‘fingers in pies’ just doesn’t do justice to the extremely talented Daddison. The illustrative mastermind behind our own events’ posters currently carries out work for Kung Fu London, Blowpop, The Tube and Dutty Girl not too mention countless other websites, magazines, books, publications and other such bits and bobs. His unique style is instantly recognizable and we are really proud to play host to his first solo show in a while at Donuts with all new mixed media offerings. ‘Fists in blancmange’ maybe seems more appropriate….
Opening Preview Friday 14th August, 6.30pm – 9.30pm at Donuts, 1-2 Perry Road, Bristol, BS1 5BQ.
Music on the night provided by DissMiss, John Stapleton and DJ Rogue and free drinks provided courtesy of Buffalo Trace Bourbon and Red Stripe.
“In celebration of Patta’s 5th anniversary, we’ve joined forces to create a special limited edition Patta x Keep Benten! Cruelty free as always, the uppers are made entirely of synthetic suede. It’s a new twist on our oh so popular boat shoe silhouette. Did we also mention that each pair comes with a durable, matching Keep X Patta tote bag for your everyday?”
So say Keep about this highly anticipated collaboration. Patta always bring something sick to the mix, as seen a year or two back with their Asics Gel Lyte III which became pretty much the most sought after sneaker of the year. This time they’ve teamed up with Keep and we’re proud to say we’ll have these available on July 25th. Needless to say these will be EXTREMELY limited numbers-wise so holla on 0117 929 2625 if you want to talk pre-orders….
This Friday Dirty Canvas take over Room 3 to inject some much needed excitement into Fabric’s lineup. Silkie will be headlining our August Donuts but if you’re in London this weekend you should go check him out ahead of his much anticipated album release.
So yet again I didn’t make it to Sonar but by all accounts Joker’s set on Friday night was one of the highlights it and we’ve managed to track it down. Download it here.
Next week we’ll be getting a drop of Pars R Us Ts, as sported by Tempz in his Next Hype video. Stocks gonna be mad limited but we’re taking pre-orders if you wanna make sure you get one. £25, sizes small thru XL.
Art In Transit back with another strong range, all available in store and online now. This is definitely my pick of the bunch but check em all out here…
This Saturday we’re taking part in the five|on|one fashion show at Motion. Kicking off at 5 there’s a market on the terrace where we’ll be dashing out clothes at special, lower (cash only!) prices, then at 7 we have a catwalk show kicking off in the ramp room. A.IN.T, Rockers NYC, CTRL and Penfield are all featuring and will be previewing some of their AW09 ranges, plus the party goes on til laaaaaaatttttte with DJs from Ruffneck Discotek, FutureBoogie, Dutty Girl and loads more. And there’s breakdancing. And a barbeque. And Jakes is hosting. And it’s all in aid of the excellent TEMWA, a charity for community development in Malawi.
Tickets available now, from us. £10.
…even if he does send me too many Facebook event invitations His last mixtape got some seriously heavy rotation instore (in fact we might even have a couple copies kicking about in the shop if you want one) and I have a feeling his new one is gonna get the same treatment. …to order for Christmas. For all of you that like to leave it late we’ll be taking web and telephone orders right up til 3pm on the 23rd and sending them out Special Delivery which is GUARANTEED TO ARRIVE ON CHRISTMAS EVE.
A few really nice new pieces from our friends at Second Son online now…
“Regarded as a pioneer of the “athleisure” footwear movement, in 2001 Clae launched its never-before seen hybrid collection that delivered the comfort of a sneaker with classic footwear styling resulting in a new definition of casual. Driving the new found athleisure category, Clae was awarded the Sportswear International Fashion Award (SIFA) for “Best Men’s Footwear Collection” in 2003. Committed to quality, detail, and style Clae is returning, after a three-year incubation, with some cult classics and newly revamped models for a consumer market place craving a fresh take on footwear.”
Ok so we’ve been sitting on 4 sick styles from Clae for a minute now but we’ve at last got ‘em up and available online. Sorry bout the wait…
Vice are running a series entitled “Creative 30″ on their website this month and today it’s the turn of Charlie from A.IN.T to get the props. We got a lot of love for A.IN.T, they hooked us up a dope exclusive colourway for our grand opening last year and this season’s collection, dropping later this month, is the fucking business. Check the profile here…
The new Donuts at 1-2 Perry Road is open for business! After a successful 11 months at the old location we’ve made a step up and are settling in to our new store which previously housed Workshop. New brands in already like Cheap Monday, Clae, False, Keep, Pretty All City and Too Much Posse, plus we got new shit from CTRL and Trapstar and in a couple of weeks we’ll be the only shop in the country to take delivery of the incredible Penfield Colourblock range IN IT’S ENTIRITY.
Opening night was Friday and a big thanks to everyone that came down and helped us through all those beers and donuts, and also a massive thankyou to our friend Alex Nash for assistance and inspiration. Props to that man.
Trapstar have teamed up with the Grenade art collective and are having an exhibition this Wednesday at the Grenade Gallery in Ladbroke Grove. Check it out if you’re in the big smoke, shit kicks off at 6…
Bank holiday weekend AND it’s my birthday weekend so I’m gonna kick things off early and start celebrating at H.E.N.C.H. on Thursday @ the Tube. It’s a residents special with plenty of Donuts favourites and you know it’s gonna be ram out in there.
Wooo yes, not only is it Carnival this weekend but it’s Bump’s 2nd birthday Friday night/Saturday morning. Badass minimal house and techno, kicking off from 3.30am at Native when all the pussys have gone home. Props to Lindsay & co. for 2 full years of great partys and ruined Saturdays. Check out Amsterdam’s Kabale und Liebe here.
So I got invited to a Facebook group the other day and joined, kinda expecting the standard, irritating inbox clutter that would cause me to leave that group again about a day later. But, holy shit, this group is actually amazing… It’s a series of exclusive mixes from some genuinely innovative DJs and it’s all free. And there’s a new mix every friday. The most recent one from Bok Bok & Manara is banging, as is the one our friends Tomb Crew did a few weeks back. Check it here.
So Friday night was pretty nuts… Teaming up with Dirty Canvas from London we brought Ghetto to Bristol and it was unlike anything I’ve ever seen at Tube before. The dancefloor was packed and all up the stairs people were going crazy, film crew in attendance… Just madness. There’s gonna be more pictures and video surfacing but in the meantime check out this little snippet from Ghetto, and big thanks to Robin from Dirty Canvas, Ghetto, Magic and Icekid, Rattus, Amo, Skull Juice and all you peeps that made it down. Much love.
A new brand for Donuts this season is False and we are most excited and proud about this one. This is False’s 5th season collection and the focus is very much on quality. Simple black and white designs hand printed with hand made screens and ridiculous attention to detail, this will be dropping at Donuts in the next couple of weeks. In the meantime there’s a preview on SlamXHype and also an interview with creative director Le Messie.
So the Myspace for London’s hypest Thursday night YoYo just got a reworking courtesy of our boy Ben Monsta. He’s kept it clean and it looks fresh as hell. We love ya Ben. Check it out here. And don’t call it YoYo’s…
Spotted this poster on a wall on Carnaby Street yesterday. Well, less spotted than tried to steal and then had to settle for taking a picture of. Apparently this is part of a Terry Richardson photo shoot for Supreme’s upcoming season and will also be part of a display at Colette from March 3rd. Not at Donuts sadly. One day…
Cheers for the love!!! Check them out http://www.kungfu-london.com/blog/
As of this week Bristol has a new music venue in the shape of Start The Bus. The people who run Fabric’s Adventures In The Beetroot Fields night have taken over Edward’s on Baldwin Street and are setting about bringing something good to that part of town. In fact this weekend promises to be carnage with Donuts Party #2 at Tube on Friday, followed by Beef with Ed Banger’s Mr. Oizo kicking things off at Start The Bus on Saturday night. Props to Saul & Co. for that one, it’s gonna be sick.
Free tickets for Friday with any purchase at Donuts this week, and we also have tickets for Oizo instore so get yer asses down here!
Next month we’ll be receiving the SS08 collection from Married To The Mob which includes some bad ass tees featuring artwork from French artist Fafi. With this in mind an interview with her has appeared on the M.O.B. blog where she talks about coming up as a graff writer in Toulouse and also her collabs with M.O.B. and MAC cosmetics. Check it out here.
I’m really late posting this so apologies if you’ve seen it elsewhere, but I just looked at my pictures from megadon sneaker customiser Nash Money‘s exhibition in Barcelona and had to put ‘em up.
Our boy Ben Monsta swung by the shop today to give us a preview of his new range of crews and tees and his shit is looking fine as ever. Really clean, bold new designs plus some new colourways for some of his classics. This boy is just too damn good. Look out for the drop in late February and in the meantime hit him up on Myspace and show him some love…
Yo massive thanks to everyone who made it down for the launch party last week, and also to all the peeps who’ve helped out over the last month and a bit. We couldn’t have done it without you.
Much love from Donuts crew
From London’s finest, A.IN.T, our 3rd exclusive tee dropped last week, strictly limited to 25 pieces. Cooler than the other side of your pillow…
